A young artist known as Rudeboy is coming up fast in the hip-hop, rap music scene. Born Andrew Knowles, he signed in June 2010 with Reign Entertainment. He's been moving through the Internet with music videos and now Rudeboy Da Niceguy works on a expected hit with platinum producer DJ Blackout. This new collaboration will hopefully bring what has only been a faucet little drip and make it a dam burst.
DJ Blackout started working nationally as a deejay and then met Jada Kiss whom he worked with for 3 years. When he bumped into JaRule at a South Beach, Florida club and slipped him a demo CD he started working music production with JaRule. Not long afterward he created his own production group called Blackout Movement. In 2005 he partnered with Danny "Styles" Schofield and the duo has won numerous Rhythm and Soul Music Awards together.
Having signed with Reign Entertainment and this new alliance with DJ Blackout, there is hope that more national attention will be coming Rudeboy's way. Having been labeled King of Da Club, New King of South Florida, hip-hop and urban artist, it's time his music was more widely heard. The beat is infectious, with a mix of rap and techno that gets your toes tapping and your head bopping.
Rudeboy moved from the Bahamas to the Miami-Dade County area with his mother at the age of three and watched her work two jobs to make ends meet. Still, she had time to encourage his enthusiasm for entertainment and he was penning his own music when he was 16. Mike Green of Platinum Records heard his work and showed an early interest; giving Knowles recording studio access. When Knowles turned 18 however, he relocated to Palm Beach County, he wasn't sure what direction his career would take.
Knowles finally met up with local music producers, Smif-N-Gunz, while working two jobs to earn a living and together they got his music back on track. Working the party and club rounds he's been getting a lot of recognition in the south Florida night scene.
Up until now, Rudeboy's music has only been found on-line and more recently on a few radio stations. Hopefully, the new partnerships will get him out of the computer and put him on a lot more airwaves where the rest of the country can enjoy his talent. - 40729
